My 74 year old mother was scammed by one of their techs named Walter.

We have a tenant whose range had a burner that was running too hot. She called Mr Appliance. They demanded her credit card. Bit mistake. Walter was the tech and he was supposed to go out to diagnose. He never went out. He just called the tenant.

He gave my mother an estimate of $273, but told them that Mr Appliance would invoice her $340, but to ignore that. He also told her that they would charge $99 for the service call. I called and told him that you can't charge $99 for a service call when you don't go out and if he wants to do it for $175 then he could. He gave me the run around and I asked him for a detailed estimate.

He never called back. I figured out the issue and it was a $47 part. Another appliane company came and charged $123...for that $47 part and the labor.

Mr Appliance had the temerity to charge the $99. Both my mother and I called them and got another run around.

Avoid Mr Appliance. Like the plague.
