Dent to Oven Door
My appliance is a GE Microwave Wall Oven Combo.
Mr Appliance was contracted by American Home Shield to repair my microwave light and to check cooking temperature (nothing was wrong with my oven). After removing racks and oven door they pulling out my wall oven to change the microwave light bulb.
It took two men to do the job, and several hours.
After putting everything back I noticed a dent that was not there and mentioned it to the repair person. He said to call the office and report it. I made the report to Sandra and she asked for a picture.
After she received the picture she said she would talk to her husband on how handle the problem and call me back. After a couple weeks I called her to check on the status.
Sandra then said that since I made a report to AHS she thought it was the end of it all and they didnt need to do anything more.
I told her they are responsible. She then said she'll make a report to the coorprate office and get back to me.
After AHS spoke to Sandy again about the dent, she then said they didn't dent my oven door and that they had proof. AHS tried calling Mr Appliance again and they never answered the phone.
The cost of a new oven door will cost me approx. $300.00
- Technicians were nice

Verified ReviewerStay away, charged us over $800. an hour
Mr Appliance totally ripped us off charging $460.00 to replace 4 roller bearings that cost $6.83 each = $27.32 in parts. Basically charging $432.00 for 30 minutes labor.
When I called them to complain and ask for a discount as we are retired and living on a fixed income they told me that was the price, so sorry.
I was flabbergasted at their brassiness and told them I would be leaving a bad review. Their manager said “that’s the cost of doing business” Stay away from these ripoffs

Never use MR. Appliance for any type of repairs!
On Wednesday, 01/29/20, MR. Appliance charged us $213 for supposedly repairing our dryer.
The technician ran the dryer for 5 minutes and told us that our dryer is working and it is repaired. The next day when we try to use it, THE SAME PROBLEM OCCURRED. We called MR. Appliance and explained to them that we are having the same problem with the dryer.
The technician showed up the following Monday, and after few hours he said the problem is something else. They wanted $200 more to fix the problem, which we refused.
We feel we were rubbed for not only $200, for Do not use Dour time and aggravation as well. I called the owner asking for my $200, she kept saying that the technician ran the dryer and it worked, I explained to her that their technician should have run the dryer for a full cycle and not just 5 for minutes, and she hanged up the phone and said to call back.
I do not recommend these outfit to anyone.
I will try to contact the franchise headquarter if not anything just to let them know.

I ended up going to Sears for my oven problem. Their service charge was less expensive than Mr.
Appliance and they showed up on time and was very pleasant.
I will recommend them to my customers from now on.I never ever heard back from Mr. Appliance, nor do I expect them to call either.
- Never showed up

Recurring Theme: Impossible to deal, recurring scheduling issues
Absolute disaster - do not trust. Just look at any moderated review website (yelp, google, etc.) and you can see the overwhelming bad reviews - only place they have good reviews are on their own website.
Total pain to deal with and schedule.
I wanted to have them come in and do general maintenance on five appliances, which would have been close to $1,000 in fees, so not a "small job". Still, they were unresponsive and difficult to schedule.
First appointment: had a set day and time for almost two weeks, but the night before they were supposed to come, after I had already cleared out my work schedule to be able to stay home to meet them, I get an email that says they don't have a technician and have to cancel the appointment. Not able to reschedule for another couple of weeks. Wasted my day
Second appointment: same story - scheduled an appointment over a week in advance.
Cleared my work schedule to be able to be home. Night before the appointment I get five distinct time slots over a 6 hour period during which I should be prepared for them to arrive (one for each appliance...figure that one out). They showed up 40 minutes early, didn't call me (they had incorrectly entered my phone number in to their system , which I had sent them via email), and then left before the time they said they would be there. I called 2 minutes after I realized they were outside (to tell them I was home), which was 2 minutes in to the earliest appointment time, and the tech was already gone and they would not send someone back.
I spent 30 minutes on the phone with a "manager" and only after I lost it did they apologize or take any ownership that they screwed up, even then they still blamed me.
How do you trust someone in your home who runs a business like this.
Stay clear. I'd love to have this conversation with the owner, because I would think they would want to know and I am a business owner as well, but judging by reviews they clearly don't care.
